  Tutti Arts Website History captured 2007 - reads, in part "Led by Pat Rix, SA’s recently announced Local Hero for her work as founder and leader of Tutti in the Australian of the Year Awards, Tutti Ensemble Inc is a successful arts and educational organisation for people with a disability, their families and the wider community now into its 10th year. Inspired by the musical term tutti - meaning everyone will now perform together after only a few have been allowed to play, Pat began Tutti as a singing group of nine people with an intellectual disability in 1997 at Minda Inc. That original group has now grown into a music community of well over 150 people. Tutti became incorporated as the Tutti Ensemble Inc, a not for profit organisation with charitable status, in 2001."

• “In 2014, the Australia Council introduces its first grant specifically for artists with disabilities”
  In 2014, the Australia Council introduces its first grant specifically for artists with disabilities. Then Australia Council CEO Tony Grybowski announced “the Artists with Disability Pilot Program; the Council’s Disability Action Plan for 2014-2016; and additional funding for Arts Access Australia to increase career development and employment opportunities for artists with disability.” The pilot program granted $300,000 to disabled artists to develop and present their work. Following this, the program was extended for another three years. The “million dollar investment” would “provide development grants of up to $25,000 and project grants of up to $50,000 for individuals and groups.” That same year, the Australia Council received its first ever grant application in Australian Sign Language (Auslan). However, in 2019, Australia Council ended its dedicated funding program for disabled artists and replaced it with the National Arts and Disability Awards.

  "In this article, we argue that cultural safety, respect, and trust is a precursor to good allyship in the creative industries. We outline factors that influence feelings of safety or non-safety for disabled arts and media makers, and the way the legacy of the medical model makes it difficult for many arts and media workers to appreciate and enact enablers of safety as part of an allyship relationship."

  "This week saw the release of Ensuring Occupations are Responsive to People with Disabilities, a landmark report by the Australian Council of Learned Academies (ACOLA) commissioned by the Australian Government Department of Social Services. As part of the Academy of Humanities’ support for the project, Professor Bree Hadley provided a study of disability in the arts, creative, and cultural industries for the project, and Professor Gerard Goggin was a member of the Expert Reference Group. In this week’s Five-Minute Friday Read, they explain why disability training needs fundamental reform now."

  Reads, in part "The second Evaluation Report was endorsed by cultural ministers in September 2017. It concludes that progress continues to be made against the Strategy. It also identifies that there have been significant changes to the arts and disability sector since the release of the Strategy in 2009 such as the introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme."

• “Arts Access Victoria – Sharing knowledge (early – mid 1990s)”
  In 1990 AAV hosted the Participate conference. From this the DADAA (Disability in the Arts, Disadvantage in the Arts, Renamed Arts Access Australia in 2003) network was born. AAV created a guidebook on creating art projects in hospitals while programs and exhibitions “Stormy Weather”, “FEELEN BOORDUP” were gaining recognition with location and purchase of artwork.
