But it was not until 1984 that our first studio workshop was establish.ed, with the aid of a grant from the Commonwealth Schools Commission. Since 1984 the studio workshop programme has physically developed in fairly well-defined cycles of five to six years. Up until 1986 the programme operated in hard to find halls tucked in behind houses or a convent building."
