Research Project Funding
This website is the outcome of a research project which received funding from the Australian Research Council, Creative Australia, Queensland University of Technology's Centre for Justice, and Curtin University's Centre for Technology and Culture.

Research Project Team
The research team collaborated with a Steering Committee, and over a hundred d/Deaf, Disabled, and Neurodiverse artists, arts workers, and allies around Australia, who shared their stories and records, then participated in workshops to plan how to present the information on this website, and collaborate on the development of our timeline.
The research team acknowledges and pays respect to the Turrbal and Yugara peoples as the traditional owners of he lands where Queensland University of Technology and Griffith University now stand, the Nyungar people as the traditional owners of the lands where Curtin University now stands, the Gadigal people on which the workspaces of Creative Australia now stand, and the traditional owners and custodians of the many other lands throughout Australia on which we have undertaken research towards this project over since 2020.
The research team also acknowledges the years our peers in the d/Deaf, Disabled, and Neurodiverse community have spent dealing with discriminatory systems and insitutions, lack of funding and resources, lack of accessible training, production, presentation, and exhibition oppportunities, and lack of understanding of our crip time, space and methods, to create platforms to support our success today.
